Meet Dr. Coffman
I am dedicated to providing excellent care to every patient and strive to make every child feel comfortable and relaxed so they can have a fun and positive dental visit. A child’s early dental experiences can shape their outlook on dentistry and medicine for the rest of their lives. Because of this, I believe in a total health approach where I am mindful of your child’s overall well-being. My staff and I focus on prevention by teaching children and parents how to avoid cavities through proper dental hygiene. In the event that your child does require treatment, my goal is to accomplish this with as much comfort and as little anxiety as possible.
As a mother of two, I understand that each child is unique and I take the time to build trusting relationships with each child and their family. I foster this bond through patience, compassion, and positive reinforcement. I am passionate about pediatric dentistry and want your child to love coming to Duke City Pediatric Dentistry.
I grew up in Roswell, NM and completed my undergraduate degree at the University of New Mexico. I received my Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine and remained in Colorado to complete a two-year pediatric dental residency at the Children’s Hospital in Denver. I served as the chief resident during my second year, and during my two years of advanced training, I treated a diverse population of patients and performed a wide variety of dental treatments. I dedicated my time to learning both the latest techniques in the treatment of children and behavioral methods to provide care in a non-threatening manner. I have the expertise in treating children of all ages and personalities, including those with special healthcare needs.
My husband Kevin and I enjoy traveling, hiking, sking and spending time outdoors in the beautiful New Mexico weather. We enjoy playing outside with our sons Brady and Bryce and love watching them grow and explore the world.
